I know it’s been forever since I posted anything. It’s been pretty hectic here lately, getting the nursery room ready and everything else done. It’s getting very close. We need to finish a few things but it should be pretty much done by the end of the week. I had two lovely showers and got just about everything that we need for baby’s arrival. ๐ Here is a picture of the baby’s room as it is now… still have some stuff to do, obviously. There is an armoire that needs to be brought upstairs and painted, and stuff put away.
That was taken with our new digital camera. It was time for an upgrade. As my brother said, “You still have that Nikon? It’s a dinosaur.” Yep. I agree. So, on to a Canon A710. So far, we love it. We got it in the mail on Thursday afternoon and Keith has been playing with it ever since. Seems to take good pictures. Upon arrival, the tripod that we bought as part of a package deal had a broken leg. ๐ So, we called the manufacturer and a new one is on the way.
My friend Amy came over yesterday and we put together the bassinet. That was a trip – the instructions said explicitly not to take the ruffly thing off of the base for the bed, so we didn’t. We put it all together, only to realize when we attempted to attach the mobile that the ruffly part on the base that we did not take off was put on backwards! Silly manufacturers. So we took it apart and put it back together the correct way. Here is us putting it together – told you Keith likes his new toy!
Not much other news to report. My doctor doesn’t do internal exams until week 39, unless you are contracting or having other complications. We are not, so if the baby comes earlier than 39 weeks, it’s going to just be a surprise. ๐ He did offer to do an ultrasound for us so we could find out the gender when he read that we didn’t know (for those of you who don’t know, we’ve changed doctors due to insurance reasons). We told him we didn’t know because we didn’t WANT to know, not because the baby didn’t cooperate. So none of us knows, because they have not sent over the US techs files yet. No chance of anyone spilling the beans. The baby has dropped (about 2 weeks ago), though and is in head down position.
My friend Megan is due on March 19th and for her shower, I made her a quilt. She is having a baby girl, and I knew her nursery was lavender and Pooh themed, so here is the quilt I made about a month ago. First, quilt top. Second image is zoomed in on one of the squares, and the last is the back. It’s a log cabin quilt.
And last but not least, here are some more belly shots. Haven’t shared in a while, but we’ve been taking them still. Last one I posted was at 27w1d, so here is: 29w4d, 33w1d, 34w6d, 36w, and today, at 37w5d. Enjoy!

ok this proves it! I’m Polish! I just posted my comments on the photos for the kitty! you can see it there! love you! ma
Woooweee! Look at that belly! Keith, be careful when she rolls over or turns around. She’ll bowl you over. ๐
I image you are wetting your shirt a lot more often now. Jen couldn’t near the sink without getting her belly all wet. And turning the little tike into doorways, fridge doors, etc.
The baby room looks great, but what happened to all the stuff that was in there? Or dare I ask?
Love the nursery.
Love the belly.
Where are your stretch marks? That’s not fair!
Matt: Better not to ask some of those questions. ๐ Suffice it to say that they are no longer there.
Nici: It’s not fair that you get tan in the summer either, but I guess being fair skinned has it’s own payoff. ๐
YAY for us! We did it, we did it, we did it! Now how many adults does it take to but together a basinet? Hmmmmm… ๐
